we're building a house on a rural acreage and decided not to connect the property to mains water, but to harvest our own rainwater and install our own water storage tanks and systems. 
the govt makes big noises about offering rebates for people who install rainwater tanks, watersaving showerheads  and toilets - but you're only eligible if you ilve in residential areas and are connected to mains water!
so, by choosing to be self-sustainable with water, we help save the govt's water, and get penalised - go figure</description>
